    Notizen: Abstract Within a covariant BUU-approach we simulate heavyion collisions at various bombarding energies from 400 MeV/u to 1 GeV/u. We evaluate locally the energymomentum tensorT μv (x), and extract pressures, energydensities and temperatures. The connection of these thermodynamical quantities to experimental observables and their sensitivity to the equation of state is discussed. Furthermore, we investigate the question of local equilibration and evaluate the entropy produced in these reactions.

    Notizen: Abstract Using only the close connection between the bound-state properties of a potential and its scattering phase shifts, a limiting excitation energy of a finite nucleus is predicted. Calculations for208Pb give its value as 8.2 MeV/A. The excitation-energy dependence of the level-density parameter is also discussed and the connection with astrophysical calculations of stellar collapse rates is indicated.

    Notizen: Abstract: We study flow phenomena in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, both in transverse and radial direction, in comparison to experimental data. The collective dynamics of the nucleus-nucleus collision is described within a transport model of the coupled channel BUU type (CBUU). This recently developed version includes all nucleonic resonances up to 1.95 GeV in mass and mean-field potentials both of the Skyrme and momentum dependent MDYI type. We find that heavy resonances play an important role in the description of transverse flow above 1 AGeV incident energy. For radial flow we analyse reaction times and equilibration and extract the parameters T and β for temperature and collective flow velocity within different prescriptions. Furthermore, we apply a coalescence model for fragment production and check the mass dependence of the flow signals.

    Notizen: Abstract: Assuming that ρ-mesons exist in a quark-gluon plasma at temperatures close to the QCD phase transition, we calculate the dilepton production rate from q-¯q annihilation via a ρ-meson state using Vector Meson Dominance. The result is compared to the rates from direct q-¯q annihilation and from π+-π− annihilation. Furthermore we discuss the suppression of low mass dileptons if the quarks assume an effective mass in the quark-gluon plasma.
