    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Das Gleichgewicht der Verteilung von Yb(III) und Lu(III) zwischen Chloroform und Wasser in Anwesenheit von Cupferron (Ammoniumsalz des N-Nitrosophenylhydroxylamins) als Funktion despH-Wertes der Wasserphase und der Konzentration des N-Nitrosophenylhydroxylamins (HL) wurde untersucht. Die Beständigkeits-Konstanten der in der Wasserphase entstehenden KomplexeLnL n(3−n) (n=1÷3), die Gleichgewichtskonstante der Extraktions-Reaktion: $$Ln(H_2 O)_m^{3 + } + 3HL_{(O)} \mathop \rightleftharpoons \limits^{K_{ex} } LnL_{3(O)} + 3H^ + + mH_2 O(Ln^{3 + } = Yb,Lu),$$ die zweiphasigen Beständigkeits-Konstanten der KomplexeLnL 3,pH 0.5 und der Trennungskoeffizient des Lu(III) von Yb(III) wurden bestimmt.
    Notes: Abstract The equilibrium of distribution of Yb(III) and Lu(III) between chloroform and the aqueous phase in the presence of cupferron (the ammonium salt of N-nitrosophenylhydroxylamine) were studied as apH function of the aqueous phase and the concentration of N-nitrosophenylhydroxylamine (HL). The stability constants for theLnL n 3–n ) complexes (n=1÷3) being formed in the aqueous phase were established, as well as the equilibrium constants of the extraction reaction $$Ln(H_2 O)_m^{3 + } + 3HL_{(O)} \mathop \rightleftharpoons \limits^{K_{ex} } LnL_{3(O)} + 3H^ + + mH_2 O(Ln^{3 + } = Yb,Lu),$$ two-phase stability constants for theLnL 3 complexes,pH 0.5 and the separation factor Lu(III) from Yb(III).

Die IR-Spektren (4 000–400 cm−1) und die thermischen Eigenschaften dieser Verbindungen wurden untersucht.
    Notes: Abstract Compounds of the formulaLnBr3(2-bipy)2 · 6 H2O,LnBr2OH(2-bipy)2 · 4 H2O (Ln = Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, Lu), YBr3(2-bipy)2 · 6 H2O and YBr3(4-bipy)2 · 6 H2O (2-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridyl;4-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridyl) were prepared and their infrared spectra investigated between 4 000–400 cm−1. They have been characterized by their thermal properties.
