Notes: Abstract The ovules ofCocculus hirsutus are anatropous, bitegmic and, crassinucellate. The fruit is drupaceous, black purple, and laterally compressed and has a pericarp demarcated into exocarp and endocarp. The seeds are curved around the basal bodies. Testa and tegmen cells are thin-walled and unspecialized. In the ripe seed the inner epidermis of the tegmen persists, whereas the entire testa and the outer layer of the tegmen degenerate. Relationships of theMenispermaceae toRanunculaceae, Berberidaceae, andLardizabalaceae are supported.

Description / Table of Contents: N,N-Dimethylacrylamid (DMA) und Isopropylmethacrylat (IPM) wurden in Dimethylformamid mit Azoisobutyronitril als Initiator copolymerisiert.
Notes: Copolymers of N,N-dimethyl acrylamide (DMA) and isopropylmethacrylate (IPM) were prepared in dimethyl formamide using azoisobutyronitrile as initiator. The composition of copolymers was determined by 1H-NMR analysis. Reactivity ratios (rDMA = 0.58, rIPM = 2.76) were calculated from these values by using the Kelen-Tüdős differential linear equation.

Notes: Free radical copolymerization of isopropyl methacrylate (IPMA) and acrylamide (AA) was carried out in the presence of 2,2′-azoisobutyronitrile in dimethyl formamide at 60°C. The copolymer compositions were established by elemental analysis. The copolymerization reactivity ratios were determined by both Fineman-Ross (F-R) and Kelen-Tüdős (K-T) methods. The copolymers were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, thermal and dielectric studies. Glass transition temperature values (Tg) have been determined by DSC.
