Notes:
Summary Quantification of the rates of radical desorption from latex particles into the aqueous phase shows them to be sufficiently rapid for the particle and aqueous phases to be in thermodynamic equilibrium. Such an equilibrium pertains to only the smallest molecules, i.e., those actively involved in radical transfer. Based on this understanding, it follows that rates of radical entry and exit are related.
