Description / Table of Contents:
Notes:
Summary In rats with serum potassium levels, lowered to about 2.3 mVal/l by a proper diet, a direct passive Arthusreaction or a paw edema by local administration of dextran or formalin were elicited. Dextran- and formalin edema were not significantly altered, the direct passive Arthus-reaction was considerably inhibited. Proper experiments have shown that the alkalosis, accompaning the hypokalemia, seems not to be responsible for this inhibition.
