Zusammenfassung In der Aorta und Arteria pulmonalis des Miniaturschweines wurden einzelne für den Kohlenhydrat-, Fett- und Eiweißstoffwechsel repräsentative Enzyme bestimmt. Ein Vergleich der Ergebnisse bei fünf Tieren mit denen von Aortengewebe des Menschen zeigt nur bei der Glucose-6-Phosphat-Dehydrogenase einen deutlichen Unterschied. Es wird daraus geschlossen, daß die Stoffwechselgrößen in der Arterienwand des Miniaturschweines mit denen menschlicher Gefäße vergleichbar sind.

Summary Certain representative enzymes of the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins were determined in the aorta and the pulmonary artery of five miniature pigs. A comparison with the arterial tissue of man showed a marked difference only in the glucose-6-phosphate-dehydrogenase. It is thus concluded, that the metabolism in the arterial wall of the miniature pig is comparable to that of man.
