Blutung prospektiv erfaßt. 26% waren aterielle (Forrest I a) and 36% Sickerblutungen (Forrest I b). Zur endoskopischen Blutstillung wurde die Injektionsmethode angewandt. 18% der F I a and 11 % der F I b-Patienten mußten notfallmäßig operiert werden. Bei allen Rezidiven nach endoskopischer Blutstillung (Forrest I a: 27%; Forrest I b: 20%) konnte durch erneute Injektionen eine definitive Hämostase erzielt werden. Die blutungsbedingte Letalitat der endoskopisch and operativ behandelten Patienten betrug 4% bei F I a- and 7,5% bei F Ib-Blutungen.
    Notes: Summary Between September 1982 and 31. August 1983, 102 patients with acute upper GI bleeding were prospectively evaluated. There were 26% spurting (Forrest la) and 36% oozing (Forrest Ib) bleedings. The injection method was used for hemostasis. Of the Forrest I a bleedings 18% and 1 I % of Forrest I b patients were operated upon immediately. All recurrences after endoscopic treatment (F Ia=27%; F Ib=20%) could be controlled by repeated injections. The bleeding-caused mortality of endoscopically and operatively treated patients was 4% in F I a and 7.5 % in F I b groups.
