    Description / Table of Contents: Die Annahme, daß das von LUNDEL und KNOWLES durch Reduktion von Perrlienat mit, Zinkamalgam erhaltene ‚Rhenid‘ identisch ist mit den durch Alkalimetall-Reduktion zu erhaltenden komplexen Hydriden K2ReH8, nnd KReH4 · 2H2O, ist unrichtig.Absorptionsspektren saurer ‚Rhenid‘-Lösungen zeigten, daß hier kein Be-1 Komplex, sondern wahrscheinlich eine weitere Hydridverbindung des Rheniums vorliegt.
    Notes: Evidence is presented showing that the assumption that LUYUELL and KNOWLES rhenide is identical with the product obtained by reducing aqueous perrhenate with an alkali metal, recently shown to be a hydride, is incorrect. Absorption spectra of acid rhenide solutions show that. a complex of Re- cannot be present, and so it is concluded that rhenide is a hydride complex of rhenium different, from that obtained by reduction with alkali metals.
