Bei der Umesterung von VO(OBut)3 mit Alkoholen, MeOH, EtOH und Pr1OH (But = tert.-Butyl, Pr1 = i-Propyl), gilt die Reaktivitätsfolge OPr1〉 OEt 〉 OMe, was auch aus der Reaktion von tert.-Butanol mit VO(OPr1)3, VO(OEt)3 und VO(OMe)3 hervorgeht. Diese Folge verläuft umgekehrt als bei Zirkon- und Titanalkoxiden, was zu erklären versucht wird. - Es werden neue gemischte Alkoxide des Vanadin(V) isoliert.

Reactions of VO(OBut)3 with alcohols (MeOH, EtOH and Pr1OH) have revealed the following order of reactivity in replacement reactions: OPr1 〉 OEt 〉 OMe. This fact was further confirmed by the reactions of VO(OPr1)3, VO(OEt)3 and VO(OMe)3 with tertiary butanol. This order of reactivity is reverse of the order of reactivities found in zirconium and titanium alkoxides and an attempt has been made to explain this difference in behaviour. A number of new mixed alkoxides of vanadium have been isolated during these studies.
