Notes: Abstract In a case of myotonic dystrophy, discovered during childhood, peristalsis of the esophagus has been found to be abnormal in spite of paucity of clinical signs. Anomalous motility of its upper part and significantly depressed pressure in the lower segment, as shown by manometry, have been correlated with radiological abnormalities.
