Notizen:
Abstract Abnormalities in the brain of patients with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) are infrequent on MRI, often reversible and mainly limited to symptomatic stages of the disease. We report a case in which high-resolution MRI demonstrated multiple persistent small cortical infarcts after clinical remission. High-resolution MRI investigations may detect clinically latent but permanent brain damage, and complement clinical judgement in guiding therapeutic decisions.
