Notes: Abstract Analysis of the morphometric data showed that seven days after vagotomy significant disturbances arise in the pancreatic islets, mainly affecting the B cells. In the late stages (45 and 90 days) after the operation some morphological and functional normalization is observed, but full recovery does not take place.
