Conclusions 1. Experimental data on the activating influence of paramagnetic particles formed in the process of synthesis or subsequent treatment of monomer and polymer substances with a system of conjugation on their reactivity and physicochemical properties (“local activation effect”) were considered. 2. Paramagnetic polymers with a system of π-conjugation activate the interaction of stable radicals with polyconjugated polymers and monomers, inactivate peroxide radicals, accelerate and change the chemical mechanism of the pyrolysis of anthracene, accelerate the processes of polymerization and copolymerization of compounds with a system of π-conjugation, and catalyze a number of other reactions. 3. The specificity of the catalytic effect of paramagnetic polymers was demonstrated, and it was established that their activating effect is transmitted to large masses of reacting substances. 4. On the basis of the experimental data obtained and theoretical considerations, a representation of quasiradical polymerization, local activation, and reactivity induced by paramagnetic particles was developed for compounds with delocalized π-electrons.
