Summary 1. The telomerization of dimethylcyclosiloxanes with dichlorodimethylsilane was discovered: it leads to the formation of polymer-homologs containing inorganic chains, namely α,ω-dichloropolydimemylsiloxanes of the general formula: $$Cl - - \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {CH_3 } \hfill \\ | \hfill \\ {SiO} \hfill \\ | \hfill \\ {CH_3 } \hfill \\ \end{array} } \right)_n - - \begin{array}{*{20}c} {CH_3 } \hfill \\ | \hfill \\ {Si} \hfill \\ | \hfill \\ {CH_3 } \hfill \\ \end{array} - - Cl$$ 2. α,ω-Dichloropolydimethylsiloxanes were isolated containing 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, and 13 silicon atoms in the molecule, and their properties were studied. 3. A mechanism is proposed for the telomerization of inorganic cycles “framed” with methyl groups.
