Notes: From impedance measurements of conducting polypyrrole (Ppy) films prepared electrochemically, it is shown that there is a high anisotropy of the capacitive behavior of these films parallel and perpendicular to the substrate directions, making this behavior dependent on the rate of electropolymerization. A simple morphological model based on the arrangement of the Ppy chains explaining this fact is proposed. This model is corroborated by scanning tunneling microscopy measurements.
