Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Es gibt heute mehrere gute chirurgische Methoden, mit denen man Hyperhidrosis axillae behandeln kann.
Notes: Summary There are several good methods to treat axillary hyperhidrosis surgically. Our method is described for 128 patients. Most of the patients were under the age of 35, and they had had symptoms since puberty. Almost all of them had sweat penetrating through the outer clothing; one third had social disadvantages. Conservative treatment had been without success. After surgery 82 patients healed completely without complications; 46 had minor wound infections, wound ruptures or seroma. The sickness benefit period averaged 2 weeks. Of these patients, 103 were quite satisfied, 16 better satisfied, and 9 dissatisfied wanting reoperation.
