Notes:
Routine measurement of triton magnetic resonance spectra is described for the first time, using a micro-bulb sample tube assembly to obviate radiological hazards. Levels of isotope abundance and chemical concentration, the problem of self-radiolysis and the general usefulness of the technique are discussed. Results are given for a selection of compounds including glucose, amino-acids, thymidine and uridine. The self-radiolysis of the last is followed.
