Syntheses and 13C NMR Spectroscopic Investigations of Trifluoromethyl-substituted AdamantanesThe syntheses of several bridgehead-substituted trifluoromethyladamantanes are described. The 13C NMR data of these compounds support our earlier hypotheses of hyperconjugative mechanisms in γ-anti effects and intramolecular interactions of substitutents in W arrangements if their central atom is bearing lone electron pairs.

Die Synthesen verschiedener Brückenkopf-substituierter Trifluormethyladamantane werden beschrieben. Die 13C-NMR-Daten dieser Verbindungen stützen unsere früheren Hypothesen von hyperkonjugativen Mechanismen beim γ-anti-Effekt und der intramolekularen Wechselwirkung zweier Substituenten in W-Anordnung, wenn diese freie Elektronenpaare am Zentralatom besitzen.
