    Description / Table of Contents: K6[Mn2O6] and K6[Fe2O6] - a ComparisonK6[Mn2O6] has been prepared (dark-red single crystals). The structure (a = 8.886, b = 6.760, c = 11.394 Å, γ = 132.1°, space group P21, Z = 2, 1151 symmetry independent reflections hk0-hk9, R = 0.051) shows Al2Cl6-like anions [Mn2O6]6-. By unit-cell transformation to the monoclinic setting P21/a (a = 6.760, b = 11.394, c = 6.638 Å, β = 96,9°) the structural similarity to K6[Fe2O6] becomes evident. The Madelung Part of Lattice Energy, MAPLE, is calculated.
    Notes: K6[Mn2O6] wurde neu dargestellt (dunkelrote Einkristalle). Die Struktur (a = 8,886, b = 6,760, c = 11,394 Å, γ = 132,1°, Raumgruppe P21/b, Z = 2, 1151 symmetrieunabhängige hk0-hk9, R = 0,051) zeigt Al2Cl6-analoge Baugruppen [Mn2O6]6-. Durch Zelltransformation in die Aufstellung P21/a (a = 6,760, b = 11,394, c = 6,638 Å, β = 96,9°) werden strukturelle Ähnlichkeiten zu K6[Fe2O6] deutlich. Der Madelung-Anteil Gitterenergie, MAPLE, wird berechnet.

Es liegen „isolierte“ tetraedrische FeO4-Gruppen vor (d̄(Fe—O) = 1,89 Å). Der Madelung-Anteil der Gitterenergie, MAPLE, wird berechnet.

On the Knowledge of Na4Fe2O5Na4Fe2O5 crystallizes monoclinic (P21/n) with a = 11.872, b = 5.679, c = 9.178 Å, β = 104, 5°, Z = 4. 1998 independent reflexions, R = 0.092. According to structure determination Na4Fe2O5 is built up by layers of 2∞[Fe2O5], like those in silicates. Effektive Coordination Numbers, ECoN, and the Madelung Part of Lattice Energy, MAPLE, are calculated and discussed. Single crystals are transparent light yellow.
    Notes: Na4Fe2O5 kristallisiert monoklin (P21/n) mit a = 11,872, b = 5,679, c = 9,178 Å, β = 104,5°, Z = 4,1 998 unabhängige Reflexe, R = 0,092. Nach der Strukturaufklärung enthält die Struktur 2∞[Fe2O5]-Schichten, wie sie bei Silicaten gefunden werden. Effektive Koordinationszahlen, ECoN, sowie der Madelung-Anteil der Gitterenergie, MAPLE, Werden berechnet und diskutiert. Die Einkristalle sind transparent hellgelb.
