    Notizen: We report an investigation of the improved photothermal bistable features of a thin (6 μm) CdS Self-Electro-optic Effect Device prepared by spray deposition on pyrex. For the excitation, the 514.5 nm laser line was used. Optical, optoelectronic, electrical, and electrooptical bistabilities were observed at 210 K. It is shown that it is possible to reach with thin CdS films comparable contrasted ratios in the optical and optoelectronic bistabilities. The function of the device is explained by the measured transmission dependence of the temperature. A generalized model basing on Urbach's rule for calculating the temperature dependence of the absorption coefficient is presented, leading to a fairly good agreement with the measured curve. Furthermore, the switch-off time of the optical bistability is observed to be unusually small (5 ms) for the used laser focus diameter (400 μm).

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Abstract The results demonstrate the possibility of preparing through anodic oxidation rigorously pure, from the crystallographic point view,α- andβ-PbO2 phases, and that the reduction ofα-PbO2 takes place at a potential which is more positive and more constant than the one obtained withβ-PbO2. In a battery, the electrochemical reactivity ofα-PbO2 is more important. The introduction of Sb into the lattice of these forms of PbO2 decreases their crystallinity, and for the case ofβ-PbO2 we obtained simultaneouslyα- andβ-PbO2. Their electrochemical reactivity can increase by about 33%.
    Notizen: Résumé L'expérience a montré qu'il est possible d'obtenir par l'oxydation anodique des variétésα- etβ-PbO2 parfaitement pures au point de vue cristallographique, et que la réduction deα-PbO2 se déroule à un potentiel plus élevé et plus constant que celui observé surβ-PbO2. La réactivité électrochimique deα-PbO2 est plus importante que celle deβ-PbO2. L'introduction de Sb dans les réseaux cristallins de ces variétés diminue fortement leur cristallinité et dans le cas deβ-PbO2 on obtient toujours simultanémentα- etβ-PbO2. Du point de vue réactivité électrochimique, l'accroissement dû à la présence de Sb est de l'ordre de 33%.

    Notizen: Abstract The direct electrodeposition of 3-methylthiophene (MeT) into poly(3-methylthiophene) (PMeT) on aluminium-doped cadmium sulphide, CdS(Al), in the form of sprayed thin films, leads to a Schottky solid-state junction PMeT–CdS(Al) when PMeT is in its highly doped metal-like state. Attention has been focused on the effect of the parameters of electropolymerization of PMeT. The concentration of the monomer produced significant changes in the photovoltaic parameters of the junction, such as ideality factor (n), saturation current density (J0), barrier height (ΦB), fill factor (FF), series and shunt resistances (Rs, Rsh), and conversion efficiency (η).
