    Notes: Conclusions The possibility of using diethylenetriamine which has been ethoxylated to various degrees to give antistatic properties to PCA has been discussed; the antistatic effect is expressed most strongly in the case of DETA 60. It has been found that the antistatics studied exert a regulating action on the degree of polymerization of the ε-caprolactam, displayed in a decrease in the molecular weight of the PCA and an increase in the LMC content of the polymer. This brought about by the fact that the products examined contain, even though in slight amounts, free amino groups. DETA 100 exerts the weakest action. Under otherwise equal conditions in PCA synthesis, the introduction of DETA increase the rate of polymerization in the initial stage of the process. In view of the effects described, it is advisable, in preparing PCA fibres, to use products which contain 60 to 80 moles of ethylene oxide.

    Notes: Conclusions Yarns with a high antistatic effect, which is stable to wet treatments, have been obtained by introducing product DETA80 into polycaproamide. DETA80 antistat causes changes in the supermolecular structure of yarns which lead to a reduction in strength and deformation properties of the yarns and to an increase in their ability to be dyed. The antistats do not exert an effect on the light-resistance of the yarns, nor on resistance of the color to set treatment.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Была исследована кинетика адсорбции водяного пара на ионообменных волокнах ПАН. Найдено, что адсорбция кинетическим уравнением с показательной функцией. Зкспериментальные резулйтаты позволяют заключить, что поверхность исследованных материалов ведет себя как однородно негомогенная, с более сильно выраженной негомогенностью знтропии, связанной со сшивкой модифицир ованных волокон. Зависимость между кинетическими характеристиками и растворимостью материалов в ДМФ указывает на то, что основным фактором, не благоприятствующим адсорбцион-н ой кинетике, является сщивка. Увеличение N-содержащих анионно-об-менных групп понижает зффект замделения адсорбции вследствие сшивки.
    Notes: Abstract Kinetics of water vapor adsorption by ion exchange PAN fibres has been studied. Adsorption can be described by an exponential kinetic equation. Experimental results permit the assumption that the surface of the materials studied behaves as uniformly nonhomogeneous with more strongly expressed entropy nonhomogeneity, connected with cross-linking of the modified fibres. The dependence between the kinetic characteristics and the solubility of the materials in DMF shows that the main factor affecting unfavorably the adsorption kinetics is cross-linking. Increase of N-containing anion exchange groups reduces the effect of adsorption delay due to cross-linking.

    Description / Table of Contents: Résumé On a mis au point une méthode pour l'étude dilatométrique d'échantillons comprimés d'acétylcellulose à l'aide d'un “Derivatograph”. La température trouvée pour la vitrification est en bon accord avec les données de la littérature pour les fibres et les films. Ceci permet de conclure que les processus d'orientation n'influencent pas la transition. On a établi que le développement de la cristallisation s'effectuait en majorité dans l'acétylcellulose hétérogène fortement estérifiée (60% CH3COOH).
    Abstract: Zusammenfassung Es wurde eine Methode zur dilatometrischen Untersuchung von Acetylcellulose-Preßlingen mit Hilfe des Derivatographen ausgearbeitet. Die bestimmte Verglasungstemperatur ist in guter Übereinstimmung mit den der Literatur entnommenen ähnlichen Temperaturen bei Fasern und Filmen. Die Orientierungsvorgänge üben folglich keinen Einfluß auf den Übergang aus. Man stellte fest, daß die Kristallisation hauptsächlich in heterogener, hochveresterter Acetylcellulose erfolgt (60% CH3COOH).
    Notes: Abstract A method has been elaborated for the dilatometric investigation of compressed samples of acetylcellulose (AC) with the aid of the derivatograph. The determined glazing temperature shows a good coincidence with the literatureT g data for fibres and films. This allows the conclusion that orientation processes do not affect the transition. The development of crystallization has been established predominantly in heterogeneous highly esterified AC (60% CH3COOH).
