Notes:
Two cDNA fragments corresponding to a heat shock protein and a cell death receptor were isolated from the ovary of the bullseye puffer Sphoeroides annulatus that were arrested in vitellogenesis or induced to ovulate with LHRHa. A reduced expression of both genes was observed following injections of LHRHa, suggesting these genes may participate in processes associated with the arrested ovarian development and preparation for atresia or ovulation.
