Notes: Abstract The system of time-dependent equations is obtained for superconductors in the gapless region (strong magnetic fields). The thin films in a presence of uhf power are considered in more detail. It is shown that the whole picture is very different in comparison with the simple diffusion type extension of the Ginsburg—Landau theory. It is pointed out that a new characteristic time has to be introduced corresponding to processes of the energy relaxation.

Notes: Abstract In the framework of the electron-phonon theory of superconductivity [1], it is shown that the magnetic field penetration depthδ L increases like a certain power of temperature atT≪T c due to the low-lying excitations in the phonon spectrum. For the acoustic phonons with the density of states ∼ω 2 the penetration depth increases ∼T 5. The origin of such a high power ofT is the same as that in the case of resistivity of the normal metal: the phonon corrections to the electromagnetic vertex should be taken into account, and major terms (∼T 3) cancel, the surviving ones having a higher power ofT. The possibility of linear and quadratic terms inδ L(T) is discussed in a model of electrons interacting with two-level centers [2].

Notes: Abstract Available experimental data undoubtedly show that the gross features of BCS physics manifest themselves in all known high-T c superconductors. It seems also that the strong-coupling version of BCS theory provides a reliable description of the superconductivity at least in some of these materials. On the other hand, the lack of correlation effects even in the language of the mentioned approach excludes the possibility of discussing in this framework a physical aspect of the problem: “Why is theT c high?” A necessary extension of the Fermi-liquid phenomenology based on the Luttinger-Ward (LW) sum rule is proposed, and it is shown that there exists a very natural measure of correlations which allows one to specify the correlated state favorable for superconductivity. This state is essentially metallic with respect to its low-energy excitation spectrum and, moreover, the residual Coulomb interaction is suppressed. The electron-phonon interaction not only survives, but can be sufficiently strong to provide highT c . The LW sum rule fails in the superconducting state, which imposes a certain restriction on the possibility of using the BCS physics.
