Conclusions 1. Cast unstabilized steel 0Kh20N25M3D2S with 2.7% Si contains χ phase, with a composition of 19.4% Cr, 28.4% Fe, 20.5% Ni, 9.0% Mo, 4.0% Mn, and also copper and a considerable amount of silicon. The χ phase is retained in the structure up to a temperature of 1130°. No χ phase is observed in the steel with 1.4% Si. 2. Steel 0Kh20N25M3D2S with 2.7% Si contains χ phase, σ phase, and phase of the M6C type after annealing at 950° for 25 h; after the same heat treatment, the steel with 1.4% Si contains only M6C phase, consisting of 29.8% Cr, 27.4% Ni, 19.6% Mo, 7.4% Si, and 5.7% Fe, with a lattice constanta=10.68 Å. 3. In cast steels of 0Kh23N28M3D3 type stabilized with titanium and niobium there are also titanium and niobium carbides and σ phase.
