Application of Mass Spectrometry on the Structure Elucidation of Alkaloids, X. New Alkaloids from Erythrophleum guineense and about MuawinFrom the bark of Erythrophleum guineense the so far unknown alkaloid norcassamine (4) was isolated as main product. The bark contains as second main alkaloid norcassamidine (7), identical with the already earlier in the same drug detected erythrophleine, Its originally ascribed structure should be revised. The structures of two minor alkaloids, norerythrosuamine (10) and dehydro-norerythrosuamine (12) were clarified with the aid of mass spectrometry. - „Muawin“, originally regarded to be a single compound, is a mixture containing the same alkaloids as the drug described here. Therefore the name should be canceled.

Aus der Rinde von Erythrophleum guineense wurde als Hauptkomponente das bisher unbekannte Alkaloid Norcassamin (4) isoliert. Als weiteres Hauptalkaloid enthält die Rinde Norcassamidin (7). Es ist mit dem schon früher in der gleichen Droge aufgefundenen Erythrophlein, dem allerdings eine andere Struktur zugeschrieben wurde, identisch. Die Strukturen von zwei Nebenalkaloiden Norerythrosuamin (10) und Dehydro-norerythrosuamin (12) konnten mit Hilfe der Massenspektrometrie bestimmt werden. - Das ursprünglich als einheitliches Alkaloid angesehene „Muawin“ ist ein Substanzgemisch, das die gleichen Alkaloide wie die hier beschriebene Droge enthält. Der Name ist daher aus der Literatur zu streichen.
