    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract The systems Co x Mg 1-x TiO3 (I) and Co x Cd 1-x TiO3 (II) had been investigated spectrophotometrically and by X-ray diffraction. I represents mixed crystals without any miscibility gap. An increase ofx causes a small enhancement of the lattice unitsa 0andc 0of I and the three main absorption bands will be shifted slightly towards IR. II are mixed crystals with a broad miscibility gap. Spectrophotometrically and by X-ray diffraction it could be found that the CdTiO3-phase saturated with CoTiO3 and the CoTiO3-phase saturated with CdTiO3 have the compositions Co0,3Cd0,7TiO3 (II a) and Co0,8Cd0,2TiO3 (II b), respectively. The transition I→II (x=0,1) produces a considerable shift of the main absorption bands towards IR as a consequence of the expansion of the lattice caused by the substitution of Cd2+ for Mg2+. This shift is accompanied by a small increase of theRacah-Parameter owing to a decrease of covalency of the bonding Co-O.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die Systeme Co x Mg 1-x TiO3 (I) und Co x Cd 1-x TiO3 (II) wurden röntgenographisch und spektralphotometrisch untersucht. I stellt eine lückenlose Mischkristallreihe dar. Mit wachsendemx nehmen bei I die Gitterkonstantena 0undc 0geringfügig zu und die drei Hauptabsorptionsbanden verschieben sich ein wenig in Richtung IR. In II liegt keine lückenlose Mischkristallreihe vor. Sowohl röntgenographisch als auch spektralphotometrisch wurde für die an CoTiO3 gesättigte CdTiO3-Phase die Zusammensetzung Co0,3Cd0,7TiO3 (II a) und für die an CdTiO3 gesättigte CoTiO3-Phase die Zusammensetzung Co0,8Cd0,2TiO3 (II b) gefunden. Beim Übergang I→II (x=0,1) wird eine beträchtliche IR-Verschiebung beobachtet. Die IR-Verschiebung ist die Folge der Gitteraufweitung bei der Substitution von Mg2+ durch Cd2+. Hierbei nimmt derRacah-Parameter geringfügig zu infolge Verminderung der covalenten Anteile der Bindung Co-O.

    Notes: In 3-substituierte Oxindole wurde entweder über die 3-Bromverbindungen durch Reaktion mit Mercaptid oder durch direkte Substitution von H mit Sulfensäure-chloriden die Thioäthergruppierung eingeführt. Die so erhaltenen 3-Thioäther der Oxindole konnten nicht zu den entsprechenden Indolinen reduziert werden, da durch Reduktionsmittel (LiAlH4) der S-haltige Substituent abgespalten wurde. In 6-Methoxy-indole gelang bei besetzter 3-Stellung die Einführung von Thioäthergruppen in die 2-Stellung mit Sulfenylchloriden. Die so erhaltenen Verbindungen zeigen zum Amanitin sehr ähnliche UV-Spektren.

    Description / Table of Contents: Derivatives of Pyrrolenines and Pyrrolines by Reactions of PyrrolesBy chemical and physical methods the constitutions of the pyrrolines and pyrrolenines 3, 4, 7, 16, 17, 19-22, formerly interpreted as derivatives of pyrrole, have been established. Autoxidation of the alkylpyrrole urethane 2a leads to the hydroxy compound 3, which explains the thermal synthesis of diimidoporphyrin. The formation of altered ring systems by substitution of pyrroles is explained theoretically.
    Notes: Anhand chemischer Befunde und der Aussage von Spektren wird gezeigt, daß eine Reihe bisher anders gedeuteter Substitutionsreaktionen von Pyrrolen übergänge in Derivate von Pyrroleninen und Pyrrolinen, z. B. 3, 4, 7, 16, 17 und 19-22, sind. Die Autoxydation des Alkylpyrrolurethans 2a zur Hydroxy-Verbindung 3 wird aufgeklärt und damit die Umwandlung von 3 in Diimidoporphyrin verständlich gemacht. Die zu abgewandelten Ringsystemen führenden Substitutionen von Pyrrol-Derivaten werden theoretisch erklärt.

    Notes: Ein früher durch Bromierung von 2,4-Dimethyl-3-pyrrolcarbonsäure-ethylester (1) erhaltener dreikerniger Pyrrolfarbstoff wurde als 5-(4-Ethoxycarbonyl-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyrrolyl)-4,3′,5′-trimethyl-2′,2′ -dipyrromethylen-3,4′ -dicarbonsäure-diethylester (7) identifiziert.

In addition, the synthesis of ms-2-chloro-dipyrryltrimethine 8 from 2 and 3,4-dichloro-5-hydroxy-2(5 H)-furanone (7) is described.
    Notes: Beim Versuch 3-Ethyl-2,4-dimethylpyrrol (2) mit 2,5-Dimethoxy-2,5-dihydrofuran (1) zu einem Polymethinfarbstoff (3) mit geradzahliger Polymethinkette zu kondensieren entstanden das Dipyrrylmethen 6 und das Dipyrryltrimethin 5. Außerdem wird die Synthese des ms-2-Chlor-dipyrryltrimethins 8 aus 2 und 3,4-Dichlor-5-hydroxy-2(5 H)-furanon (7) beschrieben.

    Description / Table of Contents: β-Lactams Bearing Substituents Bonded via Hetero Atoms4-(Acyloxy)azetidin-2-ones are prepared by reaction of vinyl esters with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate. The nucleophilic displacement of the acyloxy group from C-4 occurs readily yielding 4-thio-, 4-(aryloxy)-, 4-(alkyloxy)-, 4-(arylsulfony1)-, 4-(alkylsulfonyl)-, 4-azido-, and 4-phthalimido-P-lactams. Under certain reaction conditions, the substituents bound to N, 0, or S in position 4 can readily be exchanged; this occurs with racemization.
    Notes: 4-(Acyloxy)azetidin-2-one sind aus Vinylestern und Chlorsulfonylisocyanat zugänglich. Die glatt ablaufende nucleophile Verdrängung der Acyloxygruppe am C-4 liefert 4-Thio-, 4- (Aryloxy)-, 4-(Alkyloxy); 4-(Arylsulfonyl)-, 4-(Alkylsulfonyl)-, 4-Azido- und 4-Phthalimido- P-lactame. Die über N,O oder S gebundenen Substituenten in 4-Stellung sind unter bestimmten Bedingungen erneut austauschbar. Dieser Austausch erfolgt unter Racemisierung.

    Description / Table of Contents: New Reactions of Pyrrole Derivatives to Give Blue Pyrrole DyesDecomposition of the dipyrromethenes 1-3, as bases or salts, leads to formation of a new type of labile blue dyes, the 5′-(2-pyrrolylvinyl)dipyrromethenes 4 or 5. The constitution of these dyes has been proved, inter alia, by x-ray structure analysis. Their formation can be explained in terms of a novel reaction mechanism leading to further new unstable violet and green dyes, which may be intermediates of the black pyrrole resin.
    Notes: Bei der Selbstzersetzung der Dipyrromethene 1-3 als Basen oder Salze entsteht ein neuer Typ labiler, blauer Farbstoffe deren Konstitution als 5′-(2-Pyrrolylvinyl)dipyrromethene 4 oder 5 auch durch Röntgenstrukturanalyse bewiesen wurde. Die Bildung dieser Farbstoffe läßt sich nach neuartigen Reaktionsmechanismen erklären, die auch zur Entstehung violetter sowie grüner Farbstoffe führen, die die schwarzen Pyrrolharze bilden könnten.
