Summary A method is described which allows to analyse the concentration of inuline in the cortex and medulla of the kidney in rats. After ligation of the ureter the concentration of inulin arose especially in the medulla. By diminution of the blood pressure to 42 mm Hg we got an anuria with concentrations of inuline in the kidney similar as we found after stopping the urine flow. We suggest that the cause of the anuria is the complete resorption of a diminished filtration. The concentration of inuline in the cortex and medulla at a blood pressure of 20 mm Hg corresponds to the distribution of blood in the kidney at haemorrhagical shok of the dog (Deetjen). The conclusion is that there is no more glomerular filtration.
Notes:
