Conclusions 1. The effect of conditions of condensation of high-molecular olefins with maleic anhydride on the formation of alkenylsuccinic anhydrides has been studied. 2. It has been shown that to obtain condensation products with a relatively high concentration of alkenylsuccinic anhydride (up to 70% by wt.), the process is expediently conducted at 220–240°C, with a reaction time of 5 to 10 h, and a molar ratio of olefin to maleic anhydride from 1∶1 to 1∶1.5.
