Найдено приблизительное постоянство удельной каталитической активности серебра в исследованной области размеров частиц металла выше 30 нм.
    Notes: Abstract Specific catalytic activity for massive (powders and films) and supported (Ag/SiO2) silver catalysts have been studied in ethylene oxidation. It has been found to be approximately constant for metal particles whose size is above 30 nm.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Исследована адсорбция диоксида углерода на поверхности серебра, содержащей адсорбированный кислород. Предложено количественное описание этого процесса. Показано, что адсорбированный слой кислорода, образующийся в условиях реакции окисления этилена, по реакционной способности в отношении CO2 блиэок к свойствам слоя кислорода, адсорбированного на чистой поверхности серебра.
    Notes: Abstract Carbon dioxide adsorption on silver surface containing adsorbed oxygen has been studied. A quantitative description for this equilibrium is suggested. It is shown that the reactivity of adsorbed oxygen layer formed under ethylene oxidation with respect to CO2 is close to the properties of oxygen adsorbed on a clean silver surface.

    Notes: Abstract Kinetics of oxygen adsorption on silver films prepared by metal vacuum evaporation and condensation technique has been studied. The adsorption proceeds in accordance with the kinetic law of Zeldovich-Roginskii. Oxygen dissolution in the silver subsurface layers result in a decrease of the initial adsorption rate and an enhanced exponential decrease of the adsorption rate as a function of surface coverage.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract В интервале температур 110–610 К методами электронной спектроскопии иэучено поведение килорода, адсорбированного на эпитаксиальных пленках серебра. Предложена методика, позволяющая установить, каким из процессов —десорбцией или растворением в объёме серебра, определяется наблюдаемое уменьшение поверхностной концентрации адсорбата. Установлено, что при Т〉300 К адсорбированный кислород может легко диффундировать в объём серебра.
    Notes: Abstract The behavior of oxygen adsorbed on epitaxial silver films has been studied by electron spectroscopy in the temperature range of 110–610 K. A method is proposed for determining whether desorption or dissolution in the bulk of silver is responsible for the observed decrease of the surface adsorbate concentration. As found, at T=300 K adsorbed oxygen may readily diffuse into the bulk of silver.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Исследовано окисление этилена на серебре при 448 К, парциальном давлении кислорода 0.08 атм и парциальных давлениях этилена ( $$P_{C_2 H_4 } $$ ) 2×10−5−0.02 атм. Найдено, что начальные порядки по этилену процессов парциального и глубокого окисления на очищенной кислородом и водородом поверхности серебра в интервале $$P_{C_2 H_4 } $$ 0.0001–0.02 атм близки к 0.30−0.35, но при снижении $$P_{C_2 H_4 } $$ до 2×10−5 атм расходятся и становятся равними 1.7 и 1, состветственно.
    Notes: Abstract Ethylene oxidation on silver has been studied at 448 K and oxygen and ethylene ( $$P_{C_2 H_4 } $$ ) partial pressures of 0.08 and 2×10−5−0.02 atm, respectively. The initial reaction orders with respect to ethylene in the selective and complete oxidation on silver surface purified by oxygen and hydrogen for $$P_{C_2 H_4 } $$ =0.001–0.02 atm are close to 0.30–0.35 but upon decreasing $$P_{C_2 H_4 } $$ to 2×10−5 atm, they diverge and become equal to 1.7 and 1, respectively.

    Notes: Abstract The formation of π-complexes of C2H4 with Ag+ on oxidized Ag/SiO2 catalysts is shown by13C NMR. These complexes are similar in nature to those of olefins with silver in solution.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Найдено, что при проведении реакции в области давлений реакционной смеси 1–400 Па, достигаются малые покрытия поверхности адсорбированным кислородом, карбонатными группами и необратимо связанными углеродсодержащими частицами. Релаксации скорости обуславливаются изменениями концентраций адсорбированного кислорода и групп CO3адс.
    Notes: Abstract It has been found that when the reaction is carried out at pressures of the reaction mixture ranging from 1 to 400 Pa, small surface coverages by adsorbed oxygen, carbonate groups and irreversibly adsorbed carbon-containing particles are obtained. Rate relaxations are due to the concentration variations of adsorbed oxygen and CO3ads groups.
