Conclusions A test was made of periclase-chromite parts in the bottom and slag belt lining of 350-ton steel teeming ladles with ladle treatment of the steel. The life of the parts was 24–31 heats, which is double the life of high-alumina parts. On the basis of the investigations production of periclase-chromite refractories for lining of steel teeming ladles has been introduced at Nikitov Dolomite Plant.
