Abstract We consider the problem of obtaining macroscopic boundary conditions for the equations of a strongly nonuniform, multitemperature boundary later in a gas with translational, rotational, and vibrational degrees of freedom and for arbitrary catalyticity of the solid surface with respect to various vibrational modes. The boundary conditions are analyzed on surfaces with properties favorable to flow modes with population inversion in the quantum equations.
