Abstract:
Notes:
Summary A dilatometric micro-method for the estimation of peptidase activity is described. The accuracy of the method is about 50 times that of the previously described micro-technique. The volume changes following the hydrolysis of alanylglycine were determined and were found to depend onph and the concentration of the phosphate buffer present. The volume changes per millimole of peptide bond split were 9,1–9,9 mm3 in the given cases.
