    Notes: Summary Glass transition temperature of polystyrene has been studied by D.S.C.. Glass transition, well known for macromolecules, has been observed up to the monomer. Measurements of the change in heat capacity ΔCp at Tg were carried out and a relationship between $$\frac{{\Delta Cp}}{T}$$ and $$\overline {Dp}$$ has been found. The results have been interpreted as a modification of interaction occuring at $$\overline {Dp}$$ ≃25.

    Notes: Summary The thermal behavior of a series of n-alkanes has been studied by means of a Mettler TA 2000 B heat flow differential scanning calorimeter. Between 450–480 K all n alkanes studied show an exothermic effect bound only to the first run and with hermetically sealed crucibles. The exothermic effect decreases with the mass of sample. If the crucible is sealed in an argon filled glove box, no effect occurs. On the contrary, if the experiment is carried out under oxygen a large exothermic effect is observed. We have concluded that the effect observed with sealed sample pans is not a phase transition but a slight oxydation of n alkanes.

Eine vorangehende Bestimmung der Dicke der Kondensatschicht, deren Aggregatzustand sich bei Kontakt mit dem porösen Material nicht ändert, ist überflüssig. Die Methode wird auf einige organische Verbindungen und ein Metall (Indium) angewandt.
    Abstract: Резюме Описаны практически е процессы термическ ого метода, связывающего поверхностное натяжение γтв.,ж. веще ства на границе разде ла твердое тело — жидкость. Преды дущее определение толщины слоя конденсата, не за мерзающего около стенок пористо го материала, не являетс я более необходимым. У казанный процесс применим к ор ганическим веществам и к металлу индию.
    Notes: Abstract A thermal method connects the solid-liquid surface tensionγ/s of a substance to its triple point temperature depression. Here a practical process for application of this method is described. A previous determination of the thickness of the condensate layer which does not freeze near the wall of the porous material is no longer necessary. The process is applied to some organic substances and to a metal (indium).

    Description / Table of Contents: Resume Les bases de Lewis (Tétrahydrofuranne, Diméthyl-2,5 tétrahydrofuranne, Diméthoxyéthane, Diméthyl éther du triéthylène glycol, Dioxanne, Triéthylamine, N,N,N′,N′ tétraméthyl éthylène diamine) pénètrent dans les composés d'insertion de métaux alcalins dans le graphite (LiC12, KC36). Des changements de stades et de nouvelles distances interplanaires sont observées par diffraction des rayons X. En général, les nouveaux composés lamellaires obtenus comportent plusieurs phases, et sont comparables aux composés ternaires obtenus par synthèse directe. Ces solvates peuvent contenir jusqu'à deux molécules de solvant par cation, leurs stabilités thermiques peuvent donner des informations sur les pouvoirs complexants des solvants basiques.
    Abstract: Zusammenfassung Die Lewis-schen Basen (Tetrahydrofuran, Dimethyl-2,5-Tetrahydrofuran, Dimethoxyäthan, Triäthylenglykol Dimethyläther, Dioxan, Triäthylamin, N,N,N,′,N′-Tetramethyl-Á thylendiamin) dringen in die Insertionsverbindungen der Alkalimetalle des Graphits ein (LiC12, KC36). Phasenveränderungen und neue interplanare Entfernungen wurden mittels Röntgendiffraktion beobachtet. Im allgemeinen bestehen die erhaltenen neuen lamellaren Verbindungen aus verschiedenen Phasen und können mit den durch direkte Synthese erhaltenen Ternärverbindungen verglichen werden. Diese Solvate können je Kation bis zu zwei Molekülen Lösungsmittel enthalten, ihre Thermostabilitäten können Informationen über das Komplexierungsvermögen der basischen Lösungsmittel geben.
    Notes: Abstract Lewis bases (tetrahydrofuran, 2,5-dimethyltetrahydrofuran, dimethoxyethane, triethyleneglycol dimethyl ether, dioxane, triethylamine, N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine) penetrate into graphite inclusion compounds of alkali metals (LiC12, KC36). Stage changes and new interlayer distances are inferred from the X-ray diffraction data. Generally these lamellar compounds have several phases. They are similar to those made by direct synthesis. These solvates can contain up to two solvent molecules for one cation and the complexing powers of the solvents can be inferred from their thermal stabilities.

    Description / Table of Contents: Résumé AlH3 γ a été synthétisé. La décomposition thermique de cet hydrure ainsi que la désolvatation de Al(AlH4)3, (C2H5)2O ont été étudiés par analyse thermogravimétrique. L'analyse thermique différentielle effectuée sur AlH3 γ montre un effet exothermique dû au passage à la forme AlH3α puis endothermique correspondant à la décomposition de la phase α formée. Une structure type alanate est proposée pour AlH3 γ.
    Abstract: Zusammenfassung γ-AlH3 wurde synthetisiert. Die thermische Zersetzung dieses Hydrids sowie die Desolvatation von Al(AlH4)3·(C2H5)2O wurden mittels Thermogravimetrie untersucht. Die Differentialthermoanalyse vonγ-AlH3 zeigt einen dem Übergang in die AlH3 α-Form entsprechenden exothermen und mit nachfolgenden endothermen Effekt, welcher der Zersetzung der gebildeten Phase entspricht. Eine Struktur von solvatfreien Alanat-Typ wird fürγ-AlH3 vorgeschlagen.
    Notes: Abstract γ Aluminium hydride has been synthetised. Thermogravimetry has been used to investigate the thermal decomposition of this phase and the desolvation of A1(AlH4)3· (C2H5)2O. Differential thermal analysis ofγ-AlH3 shows an exothermic effect due to transformation to α-A1H3, followed by the endotherm of α-AlH3 decomposition. A structure of alanate type is proposed for α-AlH3.

    Notes: Abstract Thermal characteristics of eight crude oils and their treatment with additives were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermomicroscopy, viscometer and pour point tester. Different additives were found as more effective for different type of crude oils depending on the wax content. Crude oils showed a reduced pour point after treatment with additives. Effects of different additives were also discussed by analysing the DSC curves and thermomicroscopy result.
