Notes: We use developed high-sensitivity photoacoustic cell to determine the absorption coefficient in crystals of pure LiNbO3, Mg-doped LiNbO3, Fe-doped LiNbO3, KH2PO4, and KD2PO4 at the wavelengths of 1060.0, 632.8, 514.5, 488.0 nm. The experimental results are in good agreement with those measured by the laser calorimetric method.

Notes: Abstract The effect of the nuclear medium is considered in terms of an effective pion background field and a new way of evaluation is proposed. Namely, in the scattering of a kaon from a nucleon in the nuclear matter, the effect of the classical pion cloud is attributed to the individual nucleon through a background field termu(x) in the extended Dirac equation. By employing several ansatz for the pion field, the agreement between the calculated result and experimental data is obtained.

Notes: Abstract. We study the final-state interactions in B →π K decays through B → VV →π K processes where the inelastic rescattering occurs via single pion exchange. The next-to-leading order low-energy effective Hamiltonian and Bauer-Stech-Wirbel (BSW) model are used to evaluate the weak transition matrix elements and final-state interactions. We found that the final-state interaction effects in B →ρ K*→π K processes are significant. The Fleischer-Mannel relation for the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) angle γ can be significantly modified.

Notes: Abstract. Two–gluon coupling of gluonic mesons is estimated in a spectator model to be considerably larger than that of $Q\bar{Q}$ . As an example of a gluonic meson that may be produced in $J/\psi$ radiative decay, we analyse $\eta(1760)$ . We deduce from experimental data that its branching ratio to two gluons is bounded, $0.4\pm 0.3 \stackrel{〈}{\scriptstyle \sim} BR(\eta(1760)\rightarrow gg)\stackrel{〈}{\scriptstyle \sim} 0.9\pm 0.3$ , consistent with a gluonic meson, but not compelling it. We propose further tests, and estimate the two–photon coupling of $\eta(1760)$ to be $1.4\pm 0.7$ keV.

Notes: Abstract. Based on the present data, the three Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa (CKM) angles may construct a spherical surface triangle whose area automatically provides a “holonomy” phase. By assuming this geometrical phase to be that in the CKM matrix determined by an unknown hidden symmetry, we compare the theoretical prediction on $\epsilon$ with experimental data and find the two are consistent within error range. The $\alpha,\beta,\gamma$ predicted from this symmetry are also consistent with data. Further applications to the B-physics are briefly discussed. We also suggest restrictions for the Wolfenstein parameters explicitly; the agreement will be tested by more precise measurements in the future.
