Abstract A correlation of densification behaviour and microstructural development of ZrO2-fluxed sintered reaction-bonded Si3N4 (SRBSN) is reported in the light of dilatometry and both high-resolution electron microscopy (HREM) and analytical electron microscopy (AEM).
