Notizen: Summary. A method is described for the collection of volatiles from fish by high vacuum distillation and the subsequent concentration of the frozen aqueous distillates by zone refining. Concentrations of up to 35-fold have been obtained. the enhanced GLC profiles thus derived greatly facilitate analysis of the mixtures. the method employs mild conditions which minimize loss or alteration and is particularly suited to the analysis of numbers of samples.
