Notes:
Stirring and mixing effects on the oscillations and inhomogeneities in the bromate–bromide–cerous system (minimal bromate oscillator) have been investigated in a continuously fed stirred tank reactor (CSTR). A movable microelectrode is used to monitor the inhomogeneities inside the CSTR in an oscillating phase. The results are explained in terms of the theory of imperfect mixing. © 1999 American Institute of Physics.
