    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Verfasser geben ihre auf das Zustandebringen des Vx2-Nierencarcinoms gerichteten Experimente und Methode, die transkapsuläre Nierenpunktion nach der Laparotomie, bekannt. Sie beweisen, daß dies unter den bisherigen Methoden das einfachste und erfolgreichste Verfahren ist. Am wenigsten riskant ist die in der Nähe der lateralen Nierenkontur vorgenommene Inoculation. Sie erläutern die Gründe für die Differenzen der Tumorfrequenz. Die Tumorfrequenz kann sich bis zu 95,8% erhöhen. Dieses Nierencarcinom entwickelt sich innerhalb 3 Wochen.
    Notes: Summary The authors describe their experiments in creating Vx2 kidney carcinoma and their method, namely the method of transcapsular kidney punction after laparotomy. They prove that in comparison with methods used till now this one is the most simple and the most successful. The least risk is taken if the inoculation is administered near the lateral kidney contour. They explain the reasons for the differences in tumor frequency. Tumor frequency can be as high as 95.8%. This kidney carcinoma develops in 3 weeks' time.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Im Femur von Kaninchen wurden mit verschiedenen Methoden V x 2-Carcinome erzeugt. Die Inokulation von Zellsuspension neben dem Periost nach Verletzung des medialen Oberschenkelknorrens erwies sich als erfolgreichstes Verfahren. Ergebnisse von 124 Fällen und 10 Kontrolltieren werden dargestellt mit Angiogrammen, Pharmakoangiogrammen und histologischen Bildern der Tumoren. Durch die Periostund Knochenverletzung wird das Übergreifen der Geschwülste auf den Knochen gefördert.
    Notes: Summary V x 2-carcinomas were induced in rabbit femurs by various methods. Inoculation near the periosteum after injury of the condylus medialis femoris was considered most succesful. Results of 124 inoculations and 10 controls are demonstrated by angiograms, pharmakoangiograms and histologic photographs. Injury of periosteum and bone favors the taking and spreading of malignant growth.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Klinische Beobachtungen am Menschen weisen auf die Möglichkeit hin, daß nach Schenkelhalsfraktur die Ernährung des Femurkopfes kompensatorisch über die Gefäße des Ligamentum teres gewährleistet werden kann. In Versuchen an Kaninchen wurde durch Schenkelhalsosteotomie der Femukopf seiner normalen Blutzufuhr beraubt. Die dem Eingriff folgende Ischämie wurde mittels Isotopenmessungen (P32) autoradiographisch und nach Veraschung der Präparate verfolgt. Die Blutversorgung des Femurkopfes hat sich regelms Big im Laufe von 14 bis 16 Tagen nach Osteotomie wieder weitgehend normalisiert. Da alle übrigen Versorgungswege des Femurkopfes infolge Pseudarthrose unterbrochen blieben, muß die gesamte Blutzufurh kompensatorisch über die Teres-Gefäße erfolgt sein.
    Notes: Summary Clinical observations suggest that the circulation of the femoral head may be compensated through the vessels of the Lig. teres. The circulation of one side of femoral heads of rabbits was impaired by means of femoral neck osteotomy. The ischaemia ensuing after the intervention was followed up by P32 isotope measurements and autoradiography. The blood circulation of the femoral heads improved or normalised within 14 to 16 days. Since the femoral head was cut off from all other circulations by osteotomy, it is obvious that the compensation of the circulation could take place only through the blood vessels of the Lig. teres.
