Riassunto Lo studio presenta l'analisi della prevalenza dell'isterectomia nel Cantone Ticino per l'anno 1982. Il tasso générale di 507 operazioni ogni 100'000 donne è doppio di quello registrato nella regione del West Midlands in Gran Bretagna (P〈0,001). Non si riscontra invece una differenza statisticamente significativa nei tassi di mortalità e di morbilità per tumori del corpo e del collo dell'utero.
Abstract:
Zusammenfassung Die Studie zeigt die Ergebnisse der Analyse über die Prävalenz der Hysterektomie im Kanton Tessin. Insgesamt wurde im Jahr 1982 eine Operationshäufigkeit von 507 Operationen auf 100'000 Frauen gefunden, d.h. das Doppelte wie in Grossbritanien (Pš0,001). Im Vergleich kann jedoch kein significanter Unterschied in Mortalität und Morbidität an Krebs des Cervix-und Corpus uteri festgestellt werden.

Summary The study presents an analysis of the prevalence of hysterectomy during the year 1982 in Canton Ticino, where the rate (507) per 100'000 women is double that found in the West Midlands area of Great Britain (P〈0,001). No statisticaly significant difference is found in the mortality rate or morbidity rate for tumour of the cervix and body of the uterus.
