Abstract The interaction of a concrete (TsGB) with metallic melts that include Fe, Zr, Cr, Ni and with their individual components is investigated. It is shown that this concrete behaves like a beat-resistant material. In contact with metallic melts its properties depend on attainment of the melting temperature of the material of the crucible wall in the hottest region.
