Notes: Abstract The muon spectra from the decays ofW-andZ-bosons, produced ine + e −→W + W −,e + e −→Zγ,e + e −→ZZ ande + e −→ZH reactions have been obtained (H is the Higgs boson). It has been shown (in terms of Glashow-Weinberg-Salam theory) that the main source of muons are thee + e −→Zγ ande + e −→W + W − processes (over theW-boson production threshold). The contribution of thee + e −→ZZ ande + e −→ZH reactions to the inclusive muon spectra is small. It has been also shown, that it is possible to distinguish contributions of thee + e −→Zγ ande + e −→W + W − reactions if the decay muons move at a small angle to the initial electron momentum.

Notes: Abstract . The problem of a complete experiment in backward elastic scattering of particles with spins of 1 and is considered. For the first time all possible effects induced by polarization of one or two initial and one final particles are touched upon. The minimal set of measurements allowing to reconstruct all of four amplitudes describing this process is proposed. Some observables are expected to be sensitive to hitherto largely unexplored deuteron properties, such as a possible P-wave component. The technique developed is a good tool to calculate easily impulse-approximation predictions for any observables. Accelerator facilities suitable for fulfilling the complete experiment are listed.

Notes: Abstract.  Polarization phenomena for vector meson production in neutron-proton collisions, , with , are studied for collinear kinematics when the vector mesons are produced at angles or 180° with respect to the momentum of the incoming beam. It is shown that the spin structure of the matrix elements can be parametrized in terms of five independent complex scalar amplitudes whose symmetry properties follow from the isotopic invariance of the strong interaction and from which specific polarization properties can be deduced. The polarization structure functions, calculated in terms of these five independent scalar amplitudes, allow to analyze one and two spin polarization observables in a model independent way.

    Notes: Abstract Based on the conserved-vector-current (CVC) hypothesis and a four-ρ-resonance unitary and analytic VMD model of the pion electromagnetic form factor, theσ tot(E v lab ) and dσdE π lab of the weak $$\bar v_e e^ - \to \pi ^ - \pi ^0$$ process are predicted theoretically for the first time. Their experimental approval could verify the CVC hypothesis for all energies above the two-pion threshold. Since, unlike the electromagnetic e+e−→π+π− process, there is no isoscalar vector-meson contribution to the weak $$\bar v_e e^ - \to \pi ^ - \pi ^0$$ reaction, accurate measurements of theσ tot(E v lab ) that moreover is strengthened with energyE v lab linearly could solve now a widely discussed problem of the mass specification of the first excited state of theρ(770) meson. As a by-product, an equality $$\sigma _{tot} (\bar v_e e^ - \to \pi ^ - \pi ^0 ) = \sigma _{tot} (e^ + e^ - \to \pi ^ - \pi ^0 )$$ is predicted for $$\sqrt s \approx 70 GeV$$ .

Notes: Abstract A study is made of the simplest (pole) mechanisms of violation of the invariance under spatial reflection near the threshold of pion electroproduction on nucleons. A detailed investigation is made of the Born mechanism of violation of P invariance and also vector meson exchange with violation of P invariance at the electromagnetic or the strong vertices. The contribution of Δ isobars is calculated in the framework of the isobar model in the resonance region of energies.

Notes: Abstract We calculate the Stokes parameters of the photons produced in the decays of neutral vector bosons Z, Z → 1+¯1+γ and Z→ q+¯q+γ, wherel=e, μ, or τ, and q is a quark. In the decays of unpolarized Z bosons (with the production of unpolarized leptons or quarks) the nonzero Stokes parameters for ξ2 (circularly polarized photons) and ξ3 (linearly polarized photons). The magnitude of ξ3 does not depend on the parameters of the netural weak current of the leptons and the quarks (if their mass is neglected). The anomalous magnetic moment of the Z boson is studied.

Notes: Abstract A study is made of the π-meson production reactions accompanying the scattering of neutrinos by nucleons, ν + N → ν + π + N and ν + N → μ + π + N, due to neutral and charged weak currents. The general structure of the differential cross section of these processes is established for the case when two particles are detected in the final state. Use is made of only the V—A form of the neutral and charged neutrino current and the local nature of the neutrino-hadron interaction (without particularization of the reaction mechanism). At high energies and small emission angles of the π meson, the cross section is calculated in the Born approximation.

Notes: Abstract The Compton mechanism at the emission of γ-quanta, in the extremely inelastic scattering of charged leptons by hadrons is investigated using the quark-parton model. The cross section of the e− + q→e− + q + γ (q-quark) process, in which two particles are recorded in the final state corresponding to the Compton mechanism, is calculated. The structural functions of the extremely inelastic scattering of electrons by nucleons are obtained for this mechanism. A violation of the gauge invariance of extremely inelastic scattering due to consideration of the radiational corrections is pointed out.

Notes: Abstract The angular dependence of the differential cross section of muon-pair formation in hadron-hadron collisions a1+a2→μ+μ−+X is investigated in general form, attention being directed mainly toward those contributions to the differential cross section which are determined by the vector polarization of the incident hadron a1. The specific mechanism of processes a1 + a2→ μ+ + μ− +X is not given in detail here, but use is made of such general properties as the conservation of electromagnetic hadron current and the invariance of the electromagnetic interaction of hadrons with respect to spatial reflections.

Notes: Abstract Polarization phenomena occurring in γ-quantum formation during hadron-hadron collisions are analyzed in general form. Special attention is given to calculation of the Stokes photon parameters as functions of the target vector polarization. In addition, P-odd polarization phenomena are considered for processesa 1 +a 2 → γ + X, where a1 and a2 are the colliding hadrons and X indicates unrecorded particles.
