Crystal Structure of S,S′-Diethyl Dithiooxalate (CO—SC2H5)2The structure of (CO—SC2H5)2 was calculated from a data set collected by X-ray diffraction with MoKα-radiation at a temperature of about -60°C. The compound crystallizes in the space group P21/c with cell constants a = 4.760, b = 10.744, c = 10.063 Å und β = 121.8°. The unit cell contains two molecules of (CO—SC2H5)2, which are oriented along the 21 axes symmetrically to the centres of symmetry in 1/2,0,0 and in the centre of the unit cell. The refinement ran to an R of 0.058.

Die Struktur des S,S′-Diäthyldithiooxalats wurde aus Röntgenbeugungsdaten, gewonnen mit MoKα-Strahlung bei -60 ± 5°C, berechnet. Die Verbindung kristallisiert monoklin in der Raumgruppe P21/c, Nr. 14, mit den Gitterkonstanten a = 4.760, b = 10.744, c = 10.063 Å und β = 121.8°. Die Elementarzelle enthält zwei Moleküle (CO—SC2H5)2. Diese ordnen sich in Richtung der 21-Achsen symmetrisch zu den Symmetriezentren in 1/2,0,0 und in der Zellmitte. Die Verfeinerung führte zu einem konventionellen R von 0.058.
