    Notizen: We report transmission infrared near-field scanning microscopy (IR-NSOM) imaging of chemically amplified photoresist polymers patterned by ultraviolet exposure. Chemical specificity was attained using infrared wavelengths tuned to the 3 μm OH stretch absorption band of the polymer, a band sensitive to the chemical changes characteristic of the lithographic photochemical process of this material. Contrast mechanisms are discussed together with the IR-NSOM specifics, such as the fabrication of an infrared near-field probe with high throughput, which lead to an attainable resolution of λ/10 and a transmission sensitivity of 1%. © 1999 American Institute of Physics.

    Notizen: Results are presented for Doppler-resolved laser-induced fluorescence measurements of collision-induced rotational alignment of N2+(v″=0) drifted in He in a drift-tube apparatus. A single-frequency ring dye laser is used to probe the R1(N′′=15) rotational line of the B 2Σu+–Χ 2Σg+ system both parallel and perpendicular to the drift field at three different field strengths and at several different Doppler-selected velocities. A strong correlation is found between the degree of rotational alignment and the velocity subgroup probed along the field direction. For field strengths of 8 and 16 Td and laser probe parallel to the drift field, there is a monotonic increase in the quadrupole alignment parameter A0(2) with higher velocity subgroup, up to a maximum value of A0(2)=−0.150 (6) for 16 Td at the high-velocity tail. There is evidence that the correlation between alignment and velocity increases with increasing field strength. The mechanisms of the alignment are discussed and these results are attributed primarily to the change in anisotropy of the relative velocity vector distribution of the N2+–He pair with field strength. © 1997 American Institute of Physics.

    Notizen: The electron impact (EI) mass spectra (75 eV) of the new carboxylic acid ionophore griseochelin and some of its derivatives are discussed. The mass spectral fragmentation was studied using exact mass measurements and deuterium labelling. Furthermore, the negative ion mass spectra (2-4 eV) of these compounds are compared with their EI mass spectra.

    Notizen: Repetitive additions to chiral 3(2H)-Dihydrofuranones opened a route to the first enantiomerically pure primary helical spirocyclic compounds. Thus, addition of lithiated methoxyallene 2 to furanone 9 provided adduct 10 with excellent diastereoselectivity. Cyclization with potassium tert-butoxide in DMSO followed by acid hydrolysis of the resulting enol ether moiety gave spirocyclic furanone 12 in very good overall yield. Repetition of this three-step sequence converted 12 into 15. For the next series of reactions cerium compound 16 instead of 2 was employed as nucleophile which resulted in reasonable conversion of 15 into adduct 17. By application of the usual methods this compound was transformed into the enantiomerically pure tetracyclic spiro compound 19 in moderate overall yield. Functionalized spiro compounds as described in this paper may serve as enantiomerically pure building blocks in supramolecular chemistry.

    Notizen: Die Benzylidenverbindungen des cis- und des trans-Cyclohexandiols-(1.2) sind stark autoxydabel. Die Acetalhydroperoxyde werden isoliert. Sie gehen bei der Reduktion über unbeständige Orthosäurederivate in die Benzoylverbindungen der Diole über, wobei deren Konfigurationen erhalten bleiben. Dagegen entsteht aus der Benzylidenverbindung des cis-Diols durch Bromierung die Benzoylverbindung des trans-Bromhydrins.

    Notizen: Durch „topochemische“ Umsetzung von festem α-Pyridoin mit Benzoylchlorid wird das Dibenzolderivat (als Hydrochlorid) erhalten. Dieses und das früher analog hergestellte Diacetylderivat erleiden schon beim Kochen mit Äthanol Äthanolyse unter Bildung der Monoacylderivat der Ketol-Form. p-Toluol-sulfonsäurechlorid dehydriert α-Pyridoin in Pyridinlösung zum α-Pyridil.  -  Bei Umsetzungen mit Phenyl- und Methylphenylhydrazin verhält sich α-Pyridoin z. T. anders als das Benzoin.  -  α-Pyridoin bildet eine schwarzviolette, nicht sehr beständige 1:1-Kupfer-Komplexverbindung.

    Notizen: Aus Cyclododecatrien-(1.5.9) ist durch Isomerisierung 1.2.4-Trivinyl-cyclohexan (1) leicht zugänglich. Da diese Verbindung mit Säure verharzt, wird die Zahl der möglichen Reaktionen stark eingeschränkt. Wir haben besonders drei Umsetzungen von 1 studiert: 1) die Isomerisierung zu 1.2.4-Triäthyl-benzol (2); 2) die Epoxidierung zu den Mono- und Diepoxid-Isomeren 5 bzw. 6a-c sowie dem Triepoxid 7; 3) die Oxo-Synthese, die zu einem Gemisch isomerer Ketone (9) führt. Reaktionen und Hydrierung von 9 werden untersucht.

    Notizen: o-Trifluormethyl-benzaldehyd (1) gibt mit ätherischem Diazomethan das Epoxid 3 und, besonders bei Methanol-Zusatz, das Phenylaceton 7. Das Epoxid 3 isomerisiert bei 〉 180° oder im Milieu der Semicarbazon-Bildung zum Phenylacetaldehyd 6. Durch stufenweise Umsetzung von 2 Moll. 1 mit 1 Mol. Diazomethan entsteht neben 3 und 7 der 3-Hydroxy-propionaldehyd 9, der durch Kochen mit verd. Säure zum Acrolein 11 dehydratisiert wird. Mit 2.4-Dinitro-phenylhydrazin ergibt 11 das Hydrazon, aus 9 entsteht das Pyrazolin 10. Mit Diazoäthan bildet 1 den Propionaldehyd 12 und, besonders bei Methanol-Zusatz, das Pentanon 13. - m-Trifluormethyl-benzaldehyd (14) liefert mit Diazomethan das Acetophenon 15 neben einem Isomeren, vielleicht dem Epoxid 16. Mit Diazoäthan entsteht nur das Propiophenon 17.
