Description / Table of Contents: Summary 1. A decrease of the kininogen content of the blood plasma was observed during the following shockformes: a) the anaphylactic shock in guinea-pigs, b) the endotoxin shock in dogs, c) the anaphylactoid kollidon shock in dogs and d) during the anaphylactoid dextran shock in rats. This indicates, that vasodilating kinins are liberated during the shock. 2. After in vitro incubation of blood plasma with antigen, endotoxin, kollidon or dextran respectively there is no decrease of the kininogen content. This indicates, that during the observed shocks the proteolytic kinin-forming enzymes are liberated from the tissue. — In vitro the formation of anaphylatoxine in rat-plasma is not accompanied by a decrease of the kininogen content. 3. In rats a single injection of compound 48/80 causes a decrease of the kininogen content. But giving compound 48/80 for 7 days the kininogen content of the plasma is normal and is not dimished any more by a dextran-injection. 4. In rats adrenal-cortical-steroids (cortisone, dexamethasone) prevent the decrease of the kininogen content caused by dextran.
Notes: Zusammenfassung 1.
