Exact quantum reaction probabilities P vs energy yield the following dynamical effects of the title reaction: (A) oscillating reactivity with (B) a superimposed "spectrum'' of low energy Feshbach and higher energy shape resonances, and (C) conservation of translational energy. The propensity rule (C) implies dominant selection of the nonreactive (P(approximately-greater-than)0.95) and of the highly excited (v'=6) product level channels (P〈0.05) but not at shape resonances, which provide highly reactive doorway states to several product channels. The results are compared with hydrogen exchange dynamics for the case of (quasi-) degenerate hydride levels, and related to experimental observations.
