Description / Table of Contents:
Notes:
Summary One mg of DBP for 12 weeks or 0.5 mg for 17 weeks instilled intratracheally once a week induced tumors in the respiratory system in 65% (0.5 mg) or 75% (1 mg) of the animals with a latent period of 8 weeks. Histologically, the tumors were mostly squamous cell carcinomas, the most common location was the bronchi, followed by the trachea. The significance of these findings for the causation of lung cancer in man is discussed.
