An Hand von Beispielen wird die Verwendung von langsamen und schnellen Neutronen, geladenen Teilchen sowie γ-Strahlen zur Aktivierung besprochen.     Notes: Summary A brief review is given of recent work at Harwell on activation analysis. Slow and fast neutrons, charged particles and γ-rays all play their part as activating agents and examples are given. The measurement of “prompt” radiation using charged-particle irradiation is also mentioned.
