Notes:
Three patients with a phaeochromocytoma in pregnancy are reported. In the first patient a favourable result was obtained by Caesarean section and simultaneous removal of the phaeochromocytoma. In the second patient, pregnancy continued after excision of the tumour at 25 weeks, and ended at 37 weeks in the delivery by Caesarean section of a dysmature infant which died after three days. The third patient had an undiagnosed tumour and died during a Caesarean section for relative disproportion. General principles concerning the diagnosis and management of a phaeochromocytoma during pregnancy are discussed.
