Mixed-ligand Complexes of Cobalt(III) with Ethylenediamine and Ethylenediamine Tetraacetate or Diaminecyclohexane TriacetateEthylenediamine replaces two carboxyl groups of ethylenediamine tetraacetato cobaltate(III), Coedta-, two remaining ones attached on different N atoms being coordinated each trans to other. This follows from the X-ray analysis of [Co(H2edta)en]ClO4 · 3 H2O, preparation of which as well as the corresponding chloride is described. The cis(O)- and trans(O)-(hydrogen-1,2-diaminecyclohexane triacetato)ethylenediamine cobalt(III) perchlorates are synthesized and characterized by the IR, UV and visible spectra and the potentiometric titration.

Das Ethylendiamin verdrängt zwei Carboxylgruppen des Ethylendiamintetraacetatocobaltates(III), Coedta-, so daß die zwei übrigen, an verschiedene Stickstoffatome gebundenen Acetatgruppen in der trans-Stellung zueinander koordiniert bleiben. Dies zeigte die Röntgenstrukturanalyse der Verbindung [Co(H2edta)en]ClO4 · 3 H2O, deren Darstellung zusammen mit der des entsprechenden Chlorides beschrieben wurde. Es wurden auch die cis(O)- und trans(O)-Isomere des 1,2-Hydrogendiamincyclohexantriacetato(ethylendiamin)cobalt(III)perchlorates dargestellt. Ihre Zusammensetzung und Konstitution wurden durch die spektralen Daten im IR, sichtbaren und UV-Bereich sowie durch die potentiometrische Titration bestätigt.
