    Description / Table of Contents: Three New Diterpene Derivatives from Leonurus marrubiastrum L., 2From the flowers and leaves of Leonurus marrubiastrum L. two new diterpenes, marrubiastrol (1) and aldehydomarrubialactone (7), and the norditerpene demethylmarrubiaketone (8) were isolated. Their structures were shown mainly by spectroscopic methods to be 12(R),16,18-trihydroxy-5β-kolava-3,13-diene-15,17-dioic acid-15,16:17,18-dilactone (1), 20-formyl-16,18-dihydroxy-5β-kolava-3,13-diene-15,17-dioic acid-15,16:17,18-dilactone (7), and 16,18-dihydroxy-8-oxo-8-demethyl-5α-kolava-3,13-diene-15,17-dioic acid-15,16:17,18-dilactone (8)3). The structure of 8 was determined finally by X-ray analysis4). The mass spectrometric fragmentation of the α,β-unsaturated 17,18-γ-lactone allows an unequivocal differentiation of the substances in respect of the configuration at C-5.
    Notes: Aus den Blüten und Blättern von Leonurus marrubiastrum L. wurden zwei neue Diterpene, Marrubiastrol (1) und Aldehydomarrubialacton (7), sowie das Nor-diterpen Desmethylmarrubiaketon (8) isoliert, und ihre Konstitutionen vorwiegend mit spektroskopischen Methoden als 12(R),16,18-Trihydroxy-5β-kolava-3,13-dien-15,17-disäure-15,16:17,18-dilacton (1), 20-Formyl-16,18-dihydroxy-5β-kolava-3,13-dien-15,17-disäure-15,16:17,18-dilacton (7) und 16,18-Dihydroxy-8-oxo-8-desmethyl-5α-kolava-3,13-dien-15,17-disäure-15,16:17,18-dilacton (8)3) bewiesen. Die Konstitution von 8 wurde endgültig durch eine Röntgen-Strukturanalyse gesichert4). Die massenspektroskopische Fragmentierung des α,β-ungesättigten 17,18-γ-Lactons gestattet eine eindeutige Unterscheidung der einzelnen Verbindungen hinsichtlich der Konfiguration an C-5.
